I Miss the Donut Days

"Liberty”, the title of this show came to me this summer when I decided to practice letting go of the familiar. My own personal internal struggle for independence, freedom from what is expected or presumed, whether from myself or those around me, I “took off” and tried to find my own path of liberation, having less concern than usual about what others needed or wanted from me.

The word “Liberty” continued to penetrate my thought and process of making. Not taking the typical route of my own artistic expression, but expanding into different territories of format and media.
This show is dedicated to Laura Russo, an independent pioneer, Marian Finger, an independent thinker, and to Jim Creighton, the man, or more appropriately, the bodhisattva, whose encouragement continues to give me strength in the pursuit of the path of independence.
